How much does shipping from China cost?
The honest answer is "it depends" — but on a few things you can measure. Below are real examples from our current rate sheet, and a simple way to choose between express, air, sea and rail.
What decides the price
- Chargeable weight: the higher of the real weight and the volumetric weight. Volumetric weight = length × width × height in cm ÷ 5000 (express) or ÷ 6000 (most air lines). A light but bulky box is charged by its size.
- For sea LCL: the volume in cubic metres (CBM), or the weight if it is heavier than 1 ton per CBM.
- Destination: country, and remote areas inside the country.
- Shipping method and speed: express, air, sea, rail or truck.
- Type of goods: batteries, liquids, powders and cosmetics go on special lines.
- Duties included or not: some lines include customs clearance and import taxes.
The four ways to ship
- International express (UPS, DHL, FedEx): door to door, usually around one week, best for samples and parcels up to about 20–30 kg.
- Air cargo: airport to airport, from about 45–100 kg. Cheaper per kilo than express; you or your broker clear customs and collect at the airport.
- Sea freight LCL: you share a container from about 1 CBM, port to port. The cheapest for heavy and bulky goods, but slow: usually 2 to 7 weeks at sea depending on the port.
- Rail and truck to Europe: between sea and air in price and speed, about 20 to 45 days, with delivery by UPS or DPD.

What is not included
- Import duties and VAT in your country, unless you choose a duties-included line.
- For air cargo and LCL: charges at the destination airport or port, customs clearance there, and delivery to your address.
- Remote-area, oversize and special-packaging surcharges.
- Insurance, if you want it.
How to pay less
- Group your orders in our Guangzhou warehouse and ship once instead of many small parcels.
- Pack tightly: smaller boxes mean a lower volumetric weight.
- Choose by size, as a rule of thumb: under 20 kg → express; 20 to 300 kg → air cargo or air lines; over 1 CBM or 300 kg → sea LCL; to Europe and not urgent → rail or truck.
- Plan ahead: sea is many times cheaper per kilo than express.
- Pay in Chinese yuan, US dollars or euros: no commission.
